The Problem
366,000+
men die of prostate cancer every year.
More than 366,000 men die of prostate cancer every year. New treatments and therapies are on the rise, but we don't understand which treatment and care practices deliver the best outcomes for men with advanced prostate cancer.
What's the Ironman Registry?
IRONMAN is a registry for men with advanced prostate cancer.
Many men with prostate cancer sign up for a registry. The IRONMAN registry collects information about a man's type of prostate cancer, their treatment and what side effects they may be experiencing. Collecting and researching this information will enable us to better understand what causes prostate cancer, how to stop or slow its progression, and how to provide the best possible care to enable men to live the best quality life possible.

The details
5,000+
MEN WILL JOIN THE REGISTRY From 2017-2022
5,000 men. 16 countries. IRONMAN is bringing together a global community to fight advanced prostate cancer.
From 2017-2022, we'll sign-up at least 5,000 men with advanced prostate cancer globally to join the registry. We'll also work with doctors and researchers to understand more about prostate cancer treatment, side effects, and the care they provide to patients.
For the registry, IRONMAN will collect:
- Patient's medical history
- Treatment information
- Blood samples.
We'll also send health surveys to men, so we can measure their quality of life over time.
The strength of IRONMAN lies in its strong global partnership with patients, their families, doctors and researchers.
Ironman's approach
By collecting this information and blood samples, we will quickly understand which treatment and care practices deliver the best outcomes for men with advanced prostate cancer. We will then share this knowledge across the globe, so that all men can benefit from this knowledge.
